Vice-President International appointed

Today the Vice-Chancellor announced during his all-staff address, that the University has confirmed the appointment of Professor Colin Grant as our new Vice-President International.

The role generated significant interest in the market and resulted in a very strong shortlist of candidates. Professor Grant’s appointment was supported unanimously by all members of the interview panels. He has an exceptional track record as a Pro Vice-Chancellor over the last seven years, most recently at the University of Bath and previously at the University of Surrey.

The Vice-President International will be appointed on a permanent, full-time contract and will hold the key, strategic portfolio of internationalisation, reporting directly to the President and Vice-Chancellor. Professor Grant will take up his new position on 1 September 2016.
