Are you currently a final year undergraduate student looking to continue your studies? Here at the University, we offer a wide range of Masters courses across a number of subjects and disciplines. Today, we’ll be taking a closer look at the Masters of Research (MRes) in Stem Cells, Development and Regenerative Medicine.

Offering exciting opportunities to develop advanced scientific, research and transferable skills for a career in academia, industry and government policy or science journalism, our MRes is organised by the Centre for Human Development, Stem Cells & Regeneration (CHDSCR).

This course is particularly suited to recent (or soon to be!) high-achieving Biological/Biomedical Science graduates, who are interested in further developing their laboratory based research skills and subject specific knowledge. Additionally, this course may be a good step for those students thinking about committing to a PhD programme in the future.

During the one year, full time program, MRes students undertake a number of taught modules as well as two research projects. Supervision is provided by internationally recognised academic researchers in the CHDSCR.

Previous MRes and current PhD student, Sophie Arthur, had this to say about the course:

“The lecturers and project supervisors were always there to offer guidance, support and advice to ensure that by the end of the course you are a fully independent, confident and skilled research scientist.”

Places on this course are limited, so we recommend applying promptly to avoid disappointment.

Further information, including how to apply for this course, can be found here.
