Registering is simple and should only take a couple of minutes. To register, visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Below are a few points to consider:

  • You will need to have your National Insurance number handy in order to complete the application
  • You should register at the address you will be residing on 23 June (most likely your home or permanent address). Students can register at both addresses.
  • Not sure if you are registered? (Re-) register now at the address you’ll be residing on 23 June
  • There are quite a few music festivals and sporting events occurring at the time of the EU referendum, which may mean you are unable to visit your local polling station on the day of the vote. If you’re certain you’re already registered, why not have the flexibility of voting by post? Find out more at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

For more information about the EU and the implications of the vote, visit southampton.likn.co/europe.

Whichever side you support in the upcoming referendum, you will not be able to vote if you fail to register by Tuesday, 7 June.
