BioBlitz will be hitting the Redbrick (in front of Union Southampton), Highfield Campus on Wednesday, 8 June 2016.
Aimed at all staff and students interested in the nature they encounter on a daily basis, BioBlitz will attempt to record all wildlife present on the university campus.
Both an enjoyable and educational experience, a series of guided walks will be led by experts, split up into the following themes:
10:30 – Flora
12:30 – Bees and Butterflies
14:30 – Fauna
In addition to the walks, we will also be trying to spot the bat and bird boxes around campus.
Not an expert in plant and animal classification? Don’t worry, as we’ll have external experts present on the day, as well as the BioBlitz team armed with their identification tools.
