Staff with children looking to apply to university: free personal statement workshop

The University will be hosting a free personal statement workshop on Wednesday, 15 June at 19:00 in Building 32, Room 1015 (Highfield Campus).

Led by Paul Drinkwater, Schools Liaison Officer, and supported by Nick Hull, Head of University Admissions and Assistant Director of Student and Academic Administration, the evening lecture will help to support those students looking to apply to University later this year.

As well as providing a general overview of the role of a personal statement, attendees will also gain an insight into what admissions officers are specifically looking for.

During the 40 minute lecture, hints and tips will be given on how students can initially write, and later enhance, their personal statements.

Parents, guardians, friends and family and welcome to attend, but students looking to apply to university will be given priority.
