The Association of University Administrators (AUA) at the University is a friendly group affiliated with the national AUA. We organise regular events for our members on a range of topics, aiming to help us learn about different areas of the University and to aid us in our day-to-day roles and professional development.
Previous events have included an open Q&A session with the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Christopher Snowden; an exclusive look at the inner workings of the Nuffield Theatre during last year’s run of His Dark Materials; and a visit from Public Policy@Southampton looking at how research influences policy-making.
Upcoming events include a visit from Ian Dunn, our Chief Operating Officer, on Tuesday 21 June.
Any colleagues in Higher Education, at any level, with an interest in administration are welcome to join us. You will receive all the benefits of joining the national AUA, which include free attendance at network events, a national research journal and monthly magazine. The AUA also run national and regional conferences and provide other opportunities for professional development.
