Turner Sims 2016 autumn season on sale now

Following the announcement of its 2016 autumn season, Southampton concert hall Turner Sims proudly invites you to reserve some dates later this year.

Featuring more than 35 concerts, at a glance the season will offer:

  • The launch of a curated Piano Series 2016 – 17: eight recitals across the year featuring world-class performers, including Jeremy Denk, Nikolai Lugansky, Imogen Cooper and Mitsuko Uchida
  • Cellist Natalie Clein concludes her exploration of Bach’s Solo Cello Suites
  • Percussionist Terje Isungset’s Ice Music creates music from instruments sculpted from ice as part of the folk and global programme which includes: vocalist Cara Dillon, hardanger fiddle master Nils Økland Band, and the English premiere of Songs from Madagascar a film screening of a journey across this stunning country
  • American jazz supergroup The Cookers, as part of a Jazz programme which also includes GoGo Penguin, The Impossible Gentleman, Laura Jurd’s Dinosaur, Marius Neset and London Sinfonietta and Magnus Öström
  • Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain Turner Sims brings the ‘Ukes’ back to O2 Guildhall Southampton
