Tickets are available to book here.

The seminar, which will feature keynote speeches from Professor Adrian Favell (University of Leeds) and Dr Michaela Benson (Goldsmiths, University of London), will look at the potential consequence of the EU Referendum from a sociological point of view.

Focusing on the lives of those who will be most directly affected by the upcoming referendum and ‘The spectre of Brexit’ (EU citizens living in Britain and British citizens living in other EU countries), the seminar will debate the observable and expected consequences of a radically changed relationship between the UK and the EU.

With ‘citizenship’ as its core theoretical concept, the seminar will feature scholarly contributions to the discussion of ‘mobile citizens’.

Part of the research seminar series entitled: ‘The sociology of ‘Brexit’: citizenship, belonging and mobility in the context of the British referendum on EU membership’, funding has been provided by The Sociological Review Foundation.
