One of the most highly cited Australians in the field of teaching and learning (higher and professional education), Professor Boud has been a pioneer in the development of learning-centred approaches to assessment, from student self-assessment to building assessment skills for long-term learning.

Considering the level of influence assessments can have on student behaviour (sometimes resulting in unproductive behaviour such as staying up all night to cram for an exam, or, alternatively, more productive behaviour such as working with others to resolve a problem), the keynote will focus on two key themes:

  •  Feedback that has real effects on performance
  • Developing the capacity of students to judge their own work and that of others

More information about the keynote, including how you can book your ticket, can be found here.
