Penny is Head of the Cyber and Information Systems Division at Dstl, a trading fund of the Ministry of Defence. Once known fondly as ‘Mrs Electric Armour’, she cut her teeth as an explosives engineer before establishing herself managing teams promoting cutting edge research in defence. She supports staff at students at the University as a visiting professor and a Future Worlds mentor.
