The Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) is pleased to be hosting the Thirteenth International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (MoViC), together with the Twelfth International Conference on Recent Advances in Structural Dynamics (RASD), from 3 – 6 July 2016 at the University’s Highfield Campus.
The presentations will take place in the Physics and Shackleton buildings, with a dinner at Beaulieu National Motor Museum. 350 delegates are expected to attend from countries in the EU and the rest of the world including Japan, China and the USA.
MoViC is an event that started in Yokohama, Japan in 1992 and has been organised every two years alternately in Japan, USA and Europe. The eleven previous RASD conferences have been held around every three years since 1980, primarily taking place in Southampton.
Dr Emiliano Rustighi, the conference chair, explains:
“I am very proud that the Dynamics Group has attracted an international conference on a cutting edge topic here at Southampton. All submitted papers have been carefully reviewed and the level of this conference edition is of extremely high quality and the proceedings will be published on the Journal of Physics: Conference Series. It will be an exciting opportunity for all the Faculty staff to exchange scientific, technical and experimental ideas which will hopefully flourish in future international collaborations.”
