For the final piece in our Professional Services announcement series, today we will introduce Nicky Passmore.
Following an internal recruitment process, Nicky has been appointed Director of Student Experience effective 1 September 2016, and will report directly to Ian Dunn, Chief Operating Officer.
This follows the announcement of our new Professional Services Leadership restructure in June, in keeping with the University’s new strategy for implementing its 10 year plan.
Nicky joined the university in October 2011 and has been responsible for delivering significant improvements in Student Services, as well as leading initiatives such as the Welcome project. Prior to this, she worked with commercial sector companies as varied as Crayola Crayons and Barclays Bank, helping organisations to launch new products or services with a focus on improving customer experience.
Nicky said:
“As we start work on our 10 year plan, we have a great opportunity to think about the strengths and weaknesses that might exist in our student journey, and consider new ways of doing things where appropriate. I’m looking forward to working closely with our Vice President (Education), Alex Neill, to deliver a joined-up strategy for continuous improvement of our student experience.”
Chief Operating Officer Ian Dunn added:
“I am delighted that Nicky was successful in being appointed to this critical role as part of the Professional Services Leadership. Our students have an ever increasing expectation of their years at University and through working with colleagues in Student Services, Student and Academic Administration and Student Recruitment/International Relationships, I am sure that Nicky will help develop a truly embracing, holistic and high quality journey for all during their time here.”
