An opportunity has arisen within Enabling Services for existing postgraduates to be involved in an 8 week mindfulness course. The course is due to run from Wednesday 14 September – 2 November between 14:00 – 16:00.
Mindfulness is about learning to be in the moment and moving away from ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. Studies show that this helps to reduce the level of stress we experience.
You will learn a range of formal and informal practices which include meditation and a variety of cognitive exercises aimed at bringing greater awareness, clarity, concentration and choice to experience.
The course involves attendance at a group for 2 hours per week and daily home practice.
