This is the first conference to focus exclusively on the issues that affect people who write and use software in research.

Featuring an excellent agenda with speakers from both industry and academia, there will be a series of talks and workshops from RSEs investigating everything from the latest tools and engineering practices, to the way the RSE community works. The University has attracted contributions from across the world and will be showcasing these during an international networking session at the conference.

Due to the considerable level of interest already shown, individuals are encouraged to register their place as soon as possible.

The attendance fee is £120 and covers both days of the conference, lunches, refreshments and the conference dinner. You will need to arrange and pay for your own travel and accommodation – a list of hotels can be found here.

The UK Research Software Engineers (UKRSE) is looking for volunteers to help with the running of the conference. If you would like a free registration in return for helping out, please get in touch with [email protected]

This event would not have been possible without the sponsors’ support. The UKRSE would like to thank Microsoft Research, Intel, the Scientific Computing Department at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Research IT at the University of Manchester, the Software Sustainability Institute and CANARIE. UKRSE would also like to thank the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for their support of the RSE community.
