A new collaboration between the University and the National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) – a leading industry organisation for electronics – is set to open with a launch event at the Boldrewood Innovation Campus this month.
The NMI-UoS Hub will operate as a facility that pulls together experts and businesses from across a wide range of domains, including autonomous systems, nanotechnology, smart sensing, communications, electronics and data and security, allowing collaboration and acceleration of innovative solutions.
Researchers covering these diverse fields are invited to the Hub’s launch event, which will be held between 09:30 – 16:00 on Wednesday 21 September. The event will include a series of presentations focusing on the role of research in advancing Intelligent Embedded Systems and allow visitors to engage with expert engineers and scientists in both academia and industry.
A main focus of the Hub will be to hold regular networking events which provide opportunities to hear about the latest challenges and development in key areas of university research, as well as from companies working in those areas. With over 80% of the industrial base being SMEs, the ultimate goal is to increase their visibility and market penetration, and provide support with their technical development.
For further information please contact Dr Ghaithaa Manla or register your place at the Hub launch event through the NMI website.
