A government delegation from Bangladesh will be visiting Highfield Campus today (19 September) from 12:00 – 16:30.
During their visit, the delegation aim to familiarise themselves with the University’s global health and demographic research, and explore the possibilities of building an academic partnership. Coordinated by Options, the visit is part of a UK Department for International Development (DFID) programme.
Following lunch, they will attend a short programme in the Murray Lecture Theatre, Building 58, including presentations on Sustainable Development Goals, Urban Health and Health Systems. Professor Sabu Padmadas will be hosting the programme.
The following people will be part of the official delegation:
- Mrs. Jyotirmay Dutta – Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health Local Government Division
- Mr. Bashudev Ganguly – Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
- Mr. Ekramul Haque – Mayor of Mymensing Muncipality
- Md. Huzur Ali – Senior Assistant Chief, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
They will also be accompanied by a four member team from Options:
