The University features in the top 10 amongst a number of subjects ranked as part of the 2017 Good University Guide, published by The Times and The Sunday Times.
Heading the list is Physiotherapy where Southampton is ranked number one for the second consecutive year. Last year, Physiotherapy rose from 31st to 1st thanks to the excellent results of REF 2014 and improvements in National Student Survey scores.
The University also features in the top 10 for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, placed third for the second year running, and Subjects Allied to Medicine which is joint fourth this year. Civil Engineering shares sixth place with Dundee with Social Policy in joint seventh place with Bristol.
Southampton places eighth for Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering and Criminology, and is ninth for Education (alongside Edinburgh), Mechanical Engineering, Music (alongside Cambridge and Cardiff) and Nursing.
The University of Southampton placed 21st overall in this year’s Good University Guide.
