Are you looking to gain arts and creative industry experience while you study?
Arts Ambassadors – a new voluntary, student-led group – will be launching in November 2016.
Part of Arts at University of Southampton and working in partnership with Union Southampton, the Arts Ambassador team will consist of a small, motivated group of students playing an active role in the University’s world-class programme of arts and culture.
Members will help to deliver, promote and champion the arts on offer, with a view to encouraging higher levels of engagement.
The initiative will provide an opportunity to work with leading arts venues such as Nuffield Theatre, John Hansard Gallery and Turner Sims. Ambassadors will also get the chance to participate in city-wide arts initiatives such as British Art Show 8 in Southampton, and the opening of the new arts complex, Studio 144.
Students wishing to apply should submit their CV, along with a covering letter (maximum 1 side of A4) outlining their interest in the role of Arts Ambassador by email to Louise Coysh, Associate Director, Arts & Culture at: [email protected]
The closing date for applications is 17:00 on 4 November 2016.
