The Christmas Lights Switch On event will take place on Tuesday 22 November at Highfield Campus. Hugely successful in previous years, the Christmas Lights Switch On has become an annual tradition offering both staff and students the chance to come together and appreciate the seasonal atmosphere. Please note that, due to the high number of expected guests, children are not permitted to attend this event. So that everyone has a chance to enjoy the festive decorations, there will be a separate families day celebration held on 12 December. Staff and students will receive invites from the Vice-Chancellor and Union President respectively, in the next few weeks. Our ever-popular market stalls will be back again this year, but there are limited spaces on offer. Those interested in hosting a stall should contact [email protected] and provide their details. Stalls should be Christmas-themed and are subject to approval by the Corporate Events team. The last date to register interest will be Wednesday 9 November. Please note – Lighting is provided for stalls, however, individual power cannot be supplied and sites do not come with a cover, so please include any other specific requirements in your application. You may also be asked to provide copies of your Public Liability Insurance, Products Liability, and Risk Assessment. We will require all documents at least two weeks prior to the event. On the day, stalls will need to be set up by 15:00. The market will run from 16:00 – 19:30.
