There are just a couple of weeks to go until our 2016 Christmas Lights Switch On event, taking place 22 November at Highfield Campus.
We’ve got exciting new details to share with you, including the day’s schedule, which you can view below:
- 16:00: Visit the Christmas market on the Redbrick and around the crescent area for gifts and festive foods
- 16:30: Enjoy Christmas carols performed by our brass band
- 18:00: Christmas Lights Switch On from the balcony of Building 40
- 18:10: Live music until late in The Stag’s and The Bridge
You do not need to register to attend the event, however, you will need to register to claim a complimentary drink on the night.
To claim your complimentary drink, please make sure you have your QR code available to view on your phone or via a printed copy of your ticket on the day. You will be able to exchange this from 16:00 at one of the following:
- The Stag’s
- The Bridge
- One of the two outside bars
Complimentary drinks are limited to one per person. Your QR code will be scanned in exchange for your drink. Please bring your University ID, as you may be asked to show it beforehand. There are a limited number of drinks available, so to avoid disappointment, please collect yours as soon as you can after 16:00.
Please note that, due to the high number of expected guests, children are not permitted to attend this event. So that everyone has a chance to enjoy the festive decorations, there will be a separate families day celebration held on 12 December.
