On Thursday 10 November, the University will host its first ever student forum chaired by the Vice-Chancellor.
New for the 2016-17 academic year, the forum will provide an opportunity for students to engage directly with senior University leaders on issues that are important to their student experience.
The forum panel will comprise:
- Sir Christopher Snowdon, Vice-Chancellor and President
- Professor Alex Neill, Vice President, Education
- Nicky Passmore, Executive Director, Student Experience
- Elliott Grater, VP Education at Union Southampton.
Attendees will be able to raise issues and questions in person or in advance. Whatever the topic, the university is absolutely committed to responding to feedback and Nicky Passmore, Executive Director of the Student Experience, will be looking in to and responding to all issues raised at the forum within four weeks.
The first student forum is an invitation only event for Academic Representatives. However, if you have an issue, idea or question please inform your Academic Representative and they will raise it to the panel on your behalf. You can find out who your Academic Representative is by visiting the Union Southampton website.
The Student Forum is just one of many ways in which students can provide feedback to the University. Other ways to make your voice heard include Module Evaluations, the National Student Survey (NSS), through your Academic Representative, or by visiting the Union Southampton’s You Make Change link.
