Work to prepare the development site for the University’s new Teaching and Learning Centre continues, with some of the noisiest activities being scheduled to take place during weekends in order to minimise impact on campus users.
This Saturday (19 November), works will be undertaken in the area between Buildings 58 and 2.
These works are to remove the redundant section of link bridge that previously connected to Building 58a. The removal will involve concrete demolitions and extraction of piling. If you are due to be on campus this Saturday, please be aware that this work will be very loud.
In order to safely complete the removal, we will need to close the whole of the link bridge between Buildings 58 and 2 for the duration of Saturday. Those requiring disabled access between the two buildings during this time will need to use the ground level access points. All other access points for these buildings will remain open as usual.
