In partnership with the British Council’s Generation UK – China campaign, UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) are recruiting temporary staff to work at the British Embassy in Beijing during summer 2017.
This opportunity is aimed at students, in particular, with positions on offer for Entry Clearance Officers and Visa Writers.
As part of the role you will assess, decide and process applications for visas to the United Kingdom, British Overseas Territories and a range of Commonwealth Countries.
This is a great opportunity for students to join a vibrant team and be at the forefront of UK-China relations. Those taking part will be expected to pay for their flight, accommodation and living costs but will receive a salary of approximately £1651.00 a month.
Varying contracts will be on offer and you must be available to work in China between March/April and September 2017. The deadline to apply is Thursday 1 December 2016.
