Southampton makes world top 150 for graduate employability

The University has been ranked amongst the world’s top 150 Best Institutions for Employability.

Amongst the 37 UK universities listed, Southampton ranks 20th. Only the first 50 universities ranked by QS receive a specific numeric rating and only 300 institutions are listed.

The QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2017 aim to assess the quality of employment offered to students as well as each university’s business network and the global graduate market’s perception of institutions, employment rates and the quality of alumni outcomes.

Southampton’s highest scores came for the Graduate Employment Rate, Partnerships with Employers and Employer-Student Connnections. The University also fared well in Research Collaboration with Leading Companies.

To compile its Graduate Employability Rankings, QS considered responses from nearly 38,000 employers, mapped the degrees and affiliations of over 20,000 high-achievers, considered 70,000 employers’ connections with graduates and evaluated over 180,000 work placement partnerships.
