The National Student Survey (NSS) is a unique opportunity for final year students to give their opinion on their experience at the University. They will have spent at least the last three years at Southampton, so they have an informed opinion, which we value.
We want everyone’s views to be accurately reflected, so it is very important that all finalists complete the survey.
The results of the NSS are factored into the University’s planning process and their participation in the NSS can be a legacy that helps us directly improve the experience of Southampton students. The survey itself is conducted independently by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the National Health Service, and is fully supported by our Students’ Union.
For NSS 2017, Southampton students will be invited to fill in the survey from Monday 6 February 2017 to avoid clashing with exams. All students will be sent an email invitation containing a personalised link to take part in the survey.
For students who do not fill in the survey, they will be reminded with further emails and follow up phone calls from Ipsos MORI. The phone calls will start three weeks after the survey begins. Students will be sent further reminders throughout the survey so we recommend completing it as early as possible.
The survey will close on Sunday 30 April 2017.
