Make a difference by joining the 2017 student fundraising team

The University is looking for confident, enthusiastic and dedicated students to join its student fundraising team for the 2017 spring and summer term telephone appeals.

As a student fundraiser for the Office of Development & Alumni Relations, you will help to engage our alumni with the many ways they can stay involved with their former institution. This will be through opportunities such as, events, volunteering or by choosing to make a donation to fund various university-wide projects, including the new Centre for Cancer Immunology.

Being a student fundraiser is an excellent way to make a difference at your university. You will be helping current and future students have the best experience possible, while also helping to fundraise for the University’s most exciting and groundbreaking research projects.

You’ll work on Highfield Campus in the evenings for at least six hours a week and will earn £7.87 per hour. You will develop excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills that will be of great benefit to you in your future career.

Here’s what students last year had to say about being a Student Fundraiser:

I enjoyed being part of a project which fundraises for such an important cause and became more confident.

As well as getting to know more about the University and building my confidence, I loved the social side and chatting to other callers.

What I enjoyed was speaking to alumni about their University experience and career since, and seeing their genuine desire to give back to the University.
