As Lead Local Charity for the 2017 ABP Southampton Marathon, the campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology has secured 100 free places for those interested in running for the campaign, and this year you can choose between the 10k, half marathon or full marathon distances.
Taking place on Sunday 23 April, the event is a great way for our staff, students, alumni and the local community to get involved with the campaign.
By choosing to run for the campaign, you will be helping the charity edge closer to their £25m goal to open the UK’s first centre dedicated to cancer immunology research, aiming to accelerate research progress and save more lives from cancer.
What’s more, the fundraising team will offer you all the support you need – a campaign t-shirt, a full fundraising pack, training tips, as well as being there on the day to support you and cheer you on.
