Staff are invited to hear about upcoming opportunities that the University has to enhance our connections across education, research and enterprise in the broad fields of environment, sustainability and climate change.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 9 February from 10:00 – 12:00 in Room 2003, Building 27, Highfield Campus.
Over the last six months, work has been undertaken by a multi-faculty working group chaired by Professor Ian Townend and championed by Deans from a number of Faculties, to analyse the key strengths we have in disciplines within the broad fields of environment, sustainability and climate change.
Evidence has been evaluated regarding our research income in relation to our competitors, what opportunities there are for increased student recruitment, industrial partnerships and policy influence, and what structures we need to put in place to maximise our potential.
The working group, with input from academics across the university, has now identified a possible way forward.
If you would like to hear more about the work that has been undertaken and a possible strategy to be presented to the UEB, please register with Sally Rushworth, Faculty Executive Officer, NES, by emailing: [email protected].
