The campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology would like to thank everyone supporting it today by wearing something white ahead of World Cancer Day (4 February).
There has been fantastic support from both staff and students across the University, as well as on social media. The awareness-building and kind donations really are making an impact. To donate your £3 today, please text YOUREIT to 70660 or look out for a collection tin.
In recognition of this amazing support, the campaign would like to invite all staff and students ‘Wearing White’ to come along for a collective photoshoot at 11:00 today in the atrium of Building 37 (Student Services Centre), Highfield Campus. If you are wearing something white and are available, please do come along.

You can also share your photos on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #WearingWhite.
The Union’s Raise and Give (RAG) department are running a stall in support of the campaign at the Refreshers’ Fayre in the Cube from 10:00 – 15:00 today, taking photos and collecting donations.
White is the colour of the body’s hero blood cells that the University’s research is boosting in order to fight and eradicate cancer. By #WearingWhite today you are helping us further our cancer immunology research through funding a new dedicated Centre that will save more lives from cancer. Thank you.
We look forward to sharing more photos and an update on the fundraising campaign in the coming weeks.
