The National Student Survey launches today

The NSS launches today (6 February) at the University and we would like to encourage all final year undergraduate students to take part in this important survey, which is a unique opportunity for you to give your opinion on your experience at the University.

As a final year student you have spent at least the last three years at Southampton, so you have an informed opinion, which we value. We want everyone’s views to be accurately reflected, so it is very important that all finalists complete the survey.

If you are an eligible student, you will be emailed a personalised link to the survey this week. You can also go online to complete the NSS at www.thestudentsurvey.com. The survey closes on 30 April.

The results are factored into our planning processes and the survey has a big impact on the future of the University.

President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Christopher Snowden:

The results of the NSS are factored into the University’s planning process and your participation in this survey can be a legacy that helps us directly improve the experience of fellow Southampton students.

I take great interest in your feedback and will read every comment you make in the NSS about your time at Southampton.

For every completed response (up to a maximum of 10,000) to a qualifying student feedback survey, the University of Southampton will make a £1 donation (up to a maximum value of £10,000) to the Student Support Fund.

The following count as qualifying student feedback surveys: National Student Survey (NSS), Southampton Student Survey (SSS), Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES).

You can find general information about the NSS here.
