University staff and postgraduate researchers are reminded that the Copyright Licensing Agency Data Collection work is continuing until Friday 24 February.
Please provide information about all copying of published material at the University. This includes: books, magazines, journals or digital originals or copying of material that is now held digitally but was scanned-in from an original paper copy. Open Access content and hybrid publications are included as well.
Complete copies of course packs containing copyright material should be made available if they are distributed at any time in the academic year (not just during the period of the collection exercise).
You will see the red instruction posters displayed close to selected copiers across campuses. Provide a single copy of the identifying page of the book, journal or magazine (title or verso page), ideally including the ISBN/ISSN (number). Then, on the Copyright Licensing Agency data label, note the number of pages copied and number of sets made and post the page into the collection box.
In the last financial year, the Copyright Licensing Agency distributed more than £60m to authors and copyright holders, this data collection is an integral and much valued part of this distribution.
