It’s nearly that time of the academic year where campus turns into a flurry of elections candidates, lecture shout outs and, of course, freebies.
You guessed it, the Students’ Union Spring Elections are almost here!
Nominations close on Thursday 16 February at 13:00 so don’t miss your chance to put yourself forward.
There are a wide range of paid roles available, both full-time and part-time, to give you the opportunity to take a lead in an area that you’re passionate about.
The seven paid Full-Time Officer positions available are:
- Union President
- VP Democracy & Creative Industries
- VP Education
- VP Engagement
- VP Sports
- VP Student Communities
- VP Welfare

By nominating yourself and submitting a manifesto, you will be running in the elections and, if successful, you’ll play a key role in making significant improvements to benefit yourself and other students.

There are also a wide range of voluntary Student Leader positions available.
In these roles you would support the Full Time Officers in fulfilling their duties, as well as working on projects of your own, all while representing other students in specific groups within the Union.
