Doctoral researchers are invited to apply for funding to run an activity or event within this year’s Festival of Doctoral Research.
Funding of up to £1,000 is available and applications are welcomed from both individuals and teams such as research groups, programmes, discipline areas, faculties, postgraduate research societies and professional groups.
Applications can be made online and will close on Friday 24 February.
The Doctoral College, which organises the annual Festival, is hoping the fund will promote creativity and a sense of ownership amongst the postgraduate research community.
The sort of qualities being looked for in activities and events include those that:
- Showcase doctoral research
- Highlight/celebrate successes and achievements of doctoral researchers
- Explore and promote interdisciplinary doctoral research
- Build a sense of togetherness and community, both at work and socially
- Enhance doctoral wellbeing
- Enable experiences and/or expertise to be shared
- Are novel, engaging, and enjoyable.
Funding will be confirmed to successful applications by Monday 6 March. All successful applicants will be informed by email.
