Pure has now launched

The University’s new research information system, Pure, has now launched.

Pure has now replaced ePrints for depositing research outputs. ePrints continues to be the University’s repository for web discoverability.

As part of the implementation of Pure, ePrints and Southampton ORCiD websites now redirect users to use Pure. Data previously stored in these systems has been imported into Pure.

Pure will give users a comprehensive overview of their research portfolio, facilitate our compliance with the current HEFCE Open Access policy and will play a crucial role in the University’s next REF submission.

Pure is intuitive to use, but a range of support is already available, including Library and Faculty-based experts, training sessions and online user-guides which can be accessed via the Pure web pages at southampton.likn.co/pure or by visiting our Pure SharePoint site, Pure Soton.

Comprehensive training is being provided as well as regular drop-in sessions across all campuses. These can be viewed on the University’s Events Calendar on Sussed, and the Calendar tab on Pure Soton. Booking for the drop-in sessions is not required.

Users can log into Pure here.

Regular updates and information relating to Pure will be posted on Twitter (@UoS_Pure), but if you have any queries please direct them to the relevant email address below:
