PhD student and international runner, Alex Teuten, was recently crowned British University & Colleges Sport (BUCS) cross country champion.
Alex, who is a member of the University of Southampton Athletics and Cross-Country club, travelled with the team to Sheffield on Saturday 4 February.
Alex said:
This one feels really special. To claim the BUCS XC title is something that was firmly on my bucket list of objectives in my athletic career so I’m over the moon to have done that! Delighted to achieve it at UoS too, where I’ve spent five great years.
Alex is no stranger to standing on the BUCS podium as he won the 3K Steeplechase title in 2014, amongst many more successes.
