Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering – You Said, We Did

The Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering provides an outstandingly successful environment for world-leading education, research and enterprise.

Students’ feedback helps to shape university services and, in turn, improves the student experience.

Electronics and Computer Science

  • You said: You would benefit from more support while you are in the labs.
  • We did: This has been arranged and more assistants will now be available to support students.
  • You said: I’m not sure if my feedback is always passed on to the University.
  • We did: Student representatives now have regular meetings with the Director of Programmes to discuss and action your concerns. Find out who your course representative is by clicking here.

Physics and Astronomy

  • You said: You wanted easier access to past exam papers.
  • We did: We relaxed the rules on how many model answers lecturers can provide, and now have an archive available on our web pages.
  • You said: You wanted clearer and more consistent feedback in laboratory classes.
  • We did: We brought in new mark sheets and you have informed us that this has been a major improvement in the way you receive feedback.
