Professor Asghar Zaidi, who helped develop the new Index of Wellbeing in Later Life in collaboration with Age UK, will present research to Members of the House of Lords today, Monday 27 February 2017.
In showcasing the Wellbeing Index, the Parliamentary Reception will explore questions such as:
– What can be said about wellbeing inequalities across different groups of older people?
– Can the Index be used to gain a holistic impression of an individual’s wellbeing, thereby helping us to understand how one area of life can affect another?
The presentation will raise awareness among House of Lords. It will also bring a wide range of policymaking issues to the fore in areas relevant to older people in the UK, from health and finance to social engagement and local services.
