Blowin’ In The Wind: Jews and the Counterculture Revolution

Part of the Parkes Lecture programme 2016/2017, this event, entitled: Blowin’ In The Wind: Jews and the Counterculture Revolution, will take place from 18:00 on Tuesday 14 March in Lecture Theatre C, Avenue Campus.

Led by Writer and Filmmaker Naomi Gryn, the talk will focus on the counterculture movements and political revolutions of the 1960s, both asking and exploring why were there so many Jews at the frontline.

In March 1967, a six-day sit-in by students at the London School of Economics was the first such occupation of a British university. It was a protest against the suspension of two student leaders: both Jews.
