Do you have a project you’d love to get your teeth into? Would £1,000 help get you started?

Student Services are launching the Spring 2017 Aspire Awards today (6 March), and you can come and chat to the team at their stand in the foyer of Union Southampton’s Building 42.

Up to ten awards of £1,000 each will be given to successful applicants whose projects will fulfil one or more of the following aims:

  • To enhance their cultural development
  • To broaden their educational development
  • To enhance their course of study
  • To have a positive impact on society.

Applicants must be active and enrolled undergraduate students from one of the following groups of people:

  • From low income backgrounds (the assessed household income should be no more than £25,000)
  • In receipt of the University’s Student Support Fund in 2016/17
  • Mature students
  • Independent students
  • Students recruited through the Access to Southampton scheme

Further stalls will be held at the Avenue campus based at North corridor outside of the café on Tuesday 14 March, and at Winchester School of Art’s café on Wednesday 22 March.
