To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Union are holding their annual Inspiring Women event on Wednesday 8 March.
This event is designed to help motivate and encourage students to aim high and aspire them to be strong leaders. This year you will be able to hear stories from the following inspirational women, and get their advice on how you can achieve your own goals:
- Susannah Watson, Senior Assistant Director of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry)
- Emma Jo Real-Davies, Capital FM radio presenter and blogger
- Bryony Tyrell, Mixed Martial Arts fighter and Nurse
- Tracey Newman, Associate Professor in Clinical Neurosciences
This is a free event taking place on Wednesday 8 March from 19:30 until 22:00 at The Bridge, Union Southampton on Highfield Campus. There will be a complimentary glass of prosecco or soft drink upon arrival for those who register, as well as free canapes for attendees to enjoy.
