Nominations are now open for the annual Women in Science Engineering and Technology (WISET) awards.
These awards recognise and reward the exceptional contribution of individuals across the university who have worked to raise the profile and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Mathematics (STEMM), as well as helping to support women in academia above and beyond the requirements of their formal role.
The awards are open to all staff and students at the University irrespective of their gender, mode of study or nature of their employment.
Undoubtedly, there are many such champions throughout the University. So that their work can be recognised and celebrated, staff and students are encouraged to make nominations as soon as they can.
Recipients of a WISET award will be presented with a trophy as well as £250 at the prestigious WISET Annual Campbell Lecture, taking place on Wednesday 22 March 2017.
The annual WISET awards were inaugurated in 2016 to recognise and reward exceptional contributions of individuals who have worked to raise the profile and participation of women in STEMM or in any way that constructively addresses gender disparity across the University.
To nominate an individual, please click here. You will need to provide some basic information and a short supporting statement (no more than 500 words), including identifying one or more individuals who second your proposed nomination.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 23:59 on Monday 20 March.
