The Southampton University Hillwalking Club (SUHC) is organising a sponsored 10 mile walk in the New Forest, taking place on Saturday 29 April 2017 between 09:30– 17:00.
All the money raised from this event will go to support the campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology, which aims to raise £25m to open the UK’s first centre dedicated to cancer immunology research. The campaign team have already raised over £20.5m, and the Hillwalking Club would like to help them make this campaign a success.
The club’s outgoing President, Matt Clark, commented:
We’re delighted to be involved in this fantastic campaign, especially during our club’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The club is hosting an Information Evening for the walk on Wednesday 22 March 2017 from 18:30 in Room 1007, Building 58, Highfield Campus. The evening is open to anyone who is interested in taking part – students or staff.
