Today is International Happiness Day

Happiness is recognised by the UN General Assembly as a ‘fundamental human goal’ and in 2011, International Happiness Day was founded. The idea behind this project is that all humans want to lead a happy life and also want the people they love to be happy too, however, as a society we might not always treat happiness as a top priority.

The good news is that our actions and choices can affect our happiness. What makes us happy has less to do with money or possessions, and more do with attitudes and our relationships with others.

There are practical ways of supporting our wellbeing, and making a positive impact on those around you. By following the GREAT DREAM plan outlined by Action for Happiness, you can access a wealth of information about the 10 Key Actions for living your happiest life.

Action for Happiness has produced a helpful online guidebook that provides ideas, tips and tricks for achieving these 10 steps. This can be accessed by clicking here. You can also discover the latest World Happiness Report and become a part of the global movement by taking action towards happiness this spring.
