The 6th annual meeting of the Computational Modelling Group

The Computational Modelling Group brings together researchers and students from many different disciplines at the University.

This year’s annual meeting will include:

  •  A lecture by Professor of Computational Modelling Hans Fangohr.
  • Dr Stephen Crouch from the Software Sustainability Institute will give a talk about Software Carpentry and Data Carpentry initiatives.
  • Dr Oz Parchment will reveal plans about the Iridis Next-Gen Supercomputer. Finalists of the Iridis Student Project Contest will present on their work.

Taking place on Friday 31 March from 09:30 – 16:00 at Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST), Highfield Campus, staff and PhD students are welcome to attend and can book their ticket by clicking here.

During the afternoon session, speakers will discuss how to manage Research Data and Scientific Codes and how to use Clouds for your research. Attendees are free to bring their laptops to this event.
