Driven to Distraction? Online survey now live

A project within the University’s Human Factors Engineering research group is currently working in connection with Jaguar Land Rover to explore drivers’ interaction with a variety of different in-vehicle technologies while driving. These technologies include in-built systems, hands-free devices, sat-navs and mobiles phones.

The group is looking for information from drivers on the technology that they use, and the influence this has on their driving. The study aims to better understand the opportunities for drivers to be distracted, with results being used to inform future countermeasures.

The online study is currently live and can be filled out by any driver with a UK driving license. Click here to take part.

The survey should take around 10 – 15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous.

Ethics ID: 25219.

If you have any queries, please contact Katie Parnell by emailing: [email protected]

The survey will close at the end of July 2017.
