The University of Southampton
SUSSED News

Would you like to be a mystery shopper?

The University is committed to reviewing its levels of customer service across various student services, and is seeking individuals to rate and evaluate them.

University catering is working with Shopper Anonymous, a national mystery shopping company, to deliver this project.

A team of University students and staff are being recruited to conduct these visits over the next few months. They will be required to report on their findings and have a willingness to develop their own customer evaluation skills.

To become part of this team, Shopper Anonymous are looking for staff or students who meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Student or a Staff member at The University of Southampton (you will be required to use your University email to register for this project).
  • You need to be committed, objective and motivated to meet the deadlines that will be required of you.
  • You must have good reporting skills, an eye for detail and be able to write clear, concise narrative.

To apply, you will need to:

  • Click here to be taken to the ‘Shopper Enquiry Form’.
  • Be prepared (if you are a student) to include details regarding your course and student status, e.g. International (you must have permission to work in the UK), Postgraduate, Undergraduate, EU/non EU.
  • Include your student address.
  • Reside in the county of Hampshire.

No experience is necessary, as all training and resources will be provided if you are selected. Participants will be paid for successfully completed visits.
