Want to work as a Student Ambassador for Open Day?

The University is looking for students to work as Ambassadors at our upcoming Open Days.

Ambassadors will play an important part in presenting the University to potential students and their families. Each Open Day attracts over 10,000 visitors who all need their questions answered and to be pointed in the right direction.

The University is looking to recruit enthusiastic and friendly students with good communication skills. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The dates of the 2017 Open Days are:

  • Saturday 8 July
  • Saturday 9 September
  • Sunday 10 September
  • Saturday 14 October

Ambassador’s tasks are varied and can include:

  • Setting up stands and resources
  • Providing directions and information at any of our campuses
  • Giving tours
  • Staffing Information Points
  • Assisting at talks and presentations

Students can work for one, or all four days if available. Please make sure you’re available to work all day on your chosen date(s), and the Student Recruitment team will be in contact to confirm the hours you will be required to work.

Rate of pay: £7.87 per hour (including holiday pay) for under 25 year olds, or £8.37 per hour (including holiday pay) for over 25 year olds.

In addition, students should make sure that they are available to attend one of the training sessions below. Please note that the training session is unpaid:

Tuesday 4 July from 13:00 – 16:00

or

Wednesday 5 July from 13:00 – 16:00
