Medical Research Council visit 23 June 2017

Dr Jessica Boname, Programme Manager at the Medical Research Council (MRC) will be visiting the University on Friday 23 June at Southampton General Hospital.

Providing an opportunity for researchers to hear about the latest funding opportunities and to gain an insight into writing successful applications to the MRC, the visit will also give Early Career Researchers the chance to talk directly with Dr Boname about their career development over lunch.

The programme is as follows:

  • (Open to all who register) 10:30 – 11:30 – Overview of MRC remit, funding opportunities and grant writing advice.

  • (Limited availability for those who email) 12:00 – 14:00 – Early Career Researchers workshop – group sessions providing an opportunity to talk in more detail and ask questions about individual funding opportunities and fellowships. Lunch will be provided.
