Join the BBC Radio Solent General Election 2017 debate

BBC Radio Solent is hosting a live election debate on Thursday 1 June in the main foyer of Union Southampton (Building 42, Highfield Campus) with staff and students invited to be part of the audience.

The debate, featuring candidates from the Southampton Test constituency, will be broadcast live from 09:0010:00 and presented by Radio Solent breakfast show host Julian Clegg.

Tickets to take part as a seated member of the live audience are available by applying to the BBC online. Every individual applying is required to complete this form.

Numbers are limited and, as part of the process, applicants will be asked what topics they would like to discuss, including questions they would want to raise. This information is confidential and will only used for the purposes of creating a politically-balanced audience.

The BBC will let each applicant know whether they are successful before Wednesday 31 May.

There will be room for a standing audience to attend and enjoy the debate without taking part in the broadcast. There is no application process for these places, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
