Dr Themis Prodromakis has been awarded a Royal Society Industry Fellowship to progress the development of bioelectronics that could revolutionise the treatment of nervous system disorders.
Bioelectronics is the field of research which brings together biology and electronics to develop new medical and healthcare technologies.
This four-year Fellowship is in partnership with GlaxoSmithKline, one of the world’s largest healthcare companies. It’s a good example of the synergies between academic and corporate bodies encouraged under our Research strategy.
